ON THE DAY: It's an early start but well worth that alarm clock! You will meet the pilot and ground crew about 45 minutes before sunrise where you will have your preflight briefing. Just before sunrise, the balloon will be inflated and you will take off for the flight which will last approximately 1 hour depending on weather and wind conditions. After the flight, enjoy a delicious champagne breakfast which includes French champagne, freshly baked muffins and quiche, cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, juice with local organic coffee and tea. Once breakfast is done, you can leave and wonder around Byron Bay with the gorgeous day still ahead of you!
Participant guidelines:
Certificate covers 1 adult (age 13 and over). Child certificates can be purchased for ages 4-12 year olds. Children under 5 are welcome to join adults in the chase vehicle at $25 per head – subject to availability.
Weather:
Flights may be cancelled and rescheduled due to inclement weather and will be called off when the wind is more than 10kts for safety reasons. To confirm your flight call the office the day before between 5 and 6 pm for a weather check and exact meeting time.
